HI, I'M CLAUDIA STAUT
I am a Minneapolis-based photographer who has been in the industry for over five years. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota Fall 2025 with a bachelor's degree, majoring in journalism. I hope to go into sports photography or photojournalism in the Midwest region.
Why Photography?
My interest in photography has been around for as long as I can remember because it was one of my dad's hobbies. However, my career didn't start until my junior year of high school when I took my school's yearbook course.
Over five years ago my yearbook advisor Ryan McCallum encouraged me to go out and get photos of our tennis team's match. That very night I fell in love with photography and discovered that this is something I want to do for the rest of my life. Then I went on to be the photography editor in my senior year of high school and even won two yearbook photography awards for my work.
I was thankful enough to continue my photography career in college with an internship with the College of Liberal Arts, and a student photographer job with the Gopher Athletics Creative Department.
